Where Learning Has Meaning
Toddler Program
Ages 18 - 36 months
Our Toddler Program is intentionally designed to honor the earliest stages of independence, curiosity, and emotional development. During this foundational period, toddlers are learning how to be in the world—how to move with confidence, communicate needs, build relationships, and make sense of their surroundings. We approach this stage with deep respect, patience, and a strong understanding of early child development.
Rather than rushing toddlers toward premature academics or overstimulation, our program focuses on secure attachment, emotional safety, and purposeful exploration. Children are supported as they transition from parallel play to early social interaction, developing trust in both their environment and the adults who guide them. Consistent routines, gentle rhythms, and predictable transitions help toddlers feel safe and confident as they navigate their day.
Learning in our toddler classroom is play-based, sensory-rich, and responsive. Materials are thoughtfully chosen to invite exploration through touch, movement, and repetition—supporting fine and gross motor development, early problem-solving, and growing independence. Language development is nurtured naturally through songs, stories, conversation, and meaningful interactions woven throughout the day.
Our teaching approach is rooted in observation. Educators carefully watch, listen, and respond to each child’s cues, interests, and readiness. Experiences emerge from what children are drawn to—allowing learning to feel organic, joyful, and deeply engaging rather than forced or adult-directed.
What Learning Looks Like in Our Toddler Program
Sensory exploration with natural materials
Development of routines and self-help skills
Early language and communication through play and music
Gentle social interactions and relationship-building
Outdoor exploration and movement
Opportunities for choice, independence, and confidence-building
We believe that strong learning begins with feeling safe, seen, and understood. By honoring toddlers’ developmental needs and individual pace, we lay the groundwork for confident learners who trust themselves, their environment, and the joy of discovery.
Preschool Program
Ages 3 - 4 years
Our Preschool Program is intentionally designed for children who are ready to move beyond parallel play and begin engaging more deeply with ideas, relationships, and the world around them. At this stage, children are naturally curious, thoughtful, and eager to understand how things work. Our role is to nurture that curiosity through meaningful experiences that honor both developmental readiness and individual learning styles.
Learning in our preschool classroom is Reggio-inspired and inquiry-based, meaning curriculum emerges from children’s questions, interests, and observations. Rather than following a rigid schedule of disconnected activities, we design extended projects that allow children to explore topics over time—developing focus, persistence, and confidence in their thinking.
What Learning Looks Like in Our Preschool Program
Children are introduced to early academics in ways that are purposeful, integrated, and developmentally appropriate. Literacy, math, and STEM concepts are woven naturally into play, conversation, hands-on exploration, and project work—never rushed or forced.
We place a strong emphasis on:
rich language development and storytelling
early literacy through meaningful reading and writing experiences
pre-math skills such as patterning, number sense, measurement, and spatial awareness
scientific thinking through observation, experimentation, and documentation
Social-emotional learning remains a cornerstone of our program. Preschoolers are learning how to collaborate, express their ideas, resolve conflict, and advocate for themselves. Teachers guide children in building empathy, resilience, and self-regulation while fostering a strong sense of belonging and community.
A Balanced, Thoughtful Daily Routine
Each day follows a predictable routine that provides security while allowing flexibility for deep engagement. Children experience a balance of:
child-led exploration and teacher-guided learning
indoor and outdoor environments
quiet, focused work and active movement
Nature plays an essential role in our preschool program. Regular outdoor exploration encourages curiosity, creativity, and a connection to the natural world while supporting physical development and emotional well-being.
Our Approach
Above all, our Preschool Program is designed to help children see themselves as capable, confident learners. We value the process of learning as much as the outcome and believe strong academic growth is built on curiosity, meaningful relationships, and a deep respect for childhood.
Pre-K Program
Ages 4-5 years
Our Pre-K / Transitional Kindergarten Program is thoughtfully designed for children who are ready to engage in deeper thinking, sustained inquiry, and increased independence—while still honoring the importance of play, creativity, and emotional well-being. This program serves as a bridge between early childhood and formal schooling, preparing children not just academically, but socially, emotionally, and cognitively for long-term success.
At this stage, children are naturally forming theories, asking complex questions, and developing a strong sense of identity and agency. Our role is to nurture these emerging capacities through intentional teaching, meaningful projects, and rich learning experiences that challenge children to think critically, collaborate with others, and express their ideas with confidence.
Learning in our Pre-K classroom is inquiry-based and project-driven, inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Curriculum emerges from children’s interests and questions, allowing investigations to unfold over time. Through extended projects, children practice research skills, documentation, hypothesis-building, and reflection—laying the foundation for academic thinking in a way that feels authentic and engaging.
Early academics are woven seamlessly into daily experiences. Literacy, mathematics, and STEM concepts are introduced through real-world problem solving, hands-on materials, discussion, and exploration. Children develop early reading and writing skills, number sense, scientific reasoning, and an understanding of patterns, systems, and cause-and-effect—without worksheets or pressure.
Equally important is our focus on executive functioning and social-emotional growth. Children learn to plan, persist through challenges, regulate emotions, advocate for themselves, and work collaboratively with peers. These skills are essential for a smooth transition into kindergarten and beyond.
